The Sidekick series is enjoying the most diverse lineup T-Mobile has ever offered. There are a total of three models on the market. We updated our comparison table so you can see how they compare with each other, and with the most recent discontinued model, the SK3. Enjoy!

CQQL! Thanks so much, I think SK LX might be the one for me.
I’ve been struggling between Sidekick LX, BB curve, and others but I realized that all I want is email, text message with be able to send in pictures via texting, and the internet to browse a few sites all I need.
So, I think SK LX might fits in almost or all.
Thanks!

Do any of them display flash movies?
I really like the new voyager phone by LG, at least by looks.

Thank you for providing this great service to the Deaf community. I’m not looking for a new phone right now (my Sidekick II still serves me reasonably well so I see no immediate need to upgrade). But when the time comes–and technology being what it is, of course my phone will eventually need to be replaced–I know I will really welcome having a DEAF-friendly product comparison service like this one to turn to.
I just really wish there were more products out there that were “deaf-friendly” enough to be worth comparing against each other.
My fantasies:
1. Web cam for video phone, including for use with video relay;
2. Capability to plug in a larger (light, folding, portable) keyboard. This feature would be so helpful for making phone calls (I refuse to do phone calls via thumb typing–my thumbs can’t keep up) or for typing longer email messages or other text. Thumb-typing is fine for SHORT emails or text messages if I don’t need to make too many at once. But I have a friend who has seriously injured herself (to the point where she had to stop typing completely for several days) from excessive thumb-typing. I haven’t injured myself that seriously, but it’s something I worry about. And having a plug in (LIGHT, PORTABLE keyboard that I can clip to my waist just like the sidekick itself) could give me more flexibility.
Are you in a position to pass long aggregate customer feedback like this to the manufacturers? I could write myself but, one, not sure where to write, and two, I often just don’t have time, and three I think it would have more power if it came from an entity like yours that is able to say, “We’ve heard from XX number of Deaf customers who say they would like YY feature, and we’ve also heard from ZZ Deaf customers who say they want AA feature”; etc.

What about using MP3’s or other files as ringtones? Unlike the Sidekick 3, can the LX do that?

Sidekick LX look much nicer than other older sidekick but TMobile is not doing great coverage only work on TEXT or phone but not Data plan so I switch to ATT Blackberry Curve and it work very good and Love it so I stick to ATT Curve. it had deaf friendly feature for Curve too. Able to download IP relay or I711 relay to blackberry Curve. Sorry Tmobile they are sucks service and coverage but like the sidekick LX I wish ATT got that Sidekick LX lol
